Wednesday, May 4th: SECURE THE BAG

For 85 years, the Knoxville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been awarding scholarships to deserving students. We are pleased to announce another banner year in scholarship awards. Last year we overcame the restrictions that COVID-19 put on our efforts to have traditional fundraising for the 2020-2021 year. With the support of chapter members and the community, 17 students received $16,700 in high school and college scholarships! 12 Knoxville area high school seniors each received $1,000 scholarships. One recipient received the $1,500 Beulah Sinclair Scholarship and two others the Delta GEMS Book scholarships at $500 each. Our collegiate awardees were presented the Mu Zeta Scholarship at $1,000 and the Dessa Blair $1,200 scholarship. Over the next month, KAC will award another record-breaking amount of college scholarships to Knoxville area high school and college students. Thank you to all of our friends who support our events making these scholarships possible.
